Best horror/thriller movies to watch

1) Countdown

          This is a horror movie centered around the appearance of an app that shows you the time you are going to die and counts down from there. It is an amazing movie to watch during the day or night, I recommend this movie if you have been looking for some excitement that can make your heart skip a beat.

         This movie quickly progresses from your average girl's life, trying to chill with her girls to going to a hospital in the middle of the night with an axe a hunting an actual demon.

2) It

This story center around children, don't worry this is different from the promise never land ( for anime fans). This particular story builds on the disappearance of children, apparently, this isn't even new it has happened before, follow seven kids as they face their fears and tries to catch their demon.

            If you are scared of clowns this is the movie for you, spoiler alert there are no happy endings.

3) The invincible man

This story Center around a scientist who discovers invincibility and uses it to torment his ex-girlfriend.

 A genius scientist has some problems with his girlfriend which leads them to break up, Cecilia is now being tormented by said ex-boyfriend who succeeded in turning himself invincible, after faking his own death.

           this story is based on science and not any supernatural fiction. it's a one part movie that will definitely keep you at the edge of your sit.

4) Awake

         The ability to sleep is lost. Everyone is on edge due to lack of sleep, No One has been able to sleep hence only two options remain either you are 'awake' or dead. Due to the lack of sleep people start to lose their minds.

            Jill is a single mother of two, and police officer. Unfortunately her 10 years old daughter is able to sleep. The world is after her daughter and kill will do anything for her daughter to survive, there is no more good and evil as the world fall into anarchy. The average human can only last 11days with out sleep can they survive or will a 10 year old be sacrificed for humanities sake.

5) Choose or die

        Well the title of this movie gives a hint to what this story is about, we follow Kayla, a broke college student as she tries to claim a 100,000 dollar prize money on an old survival game. She soon realize that the game has ended and she is now playing for her life, she and her friend are playing a game that affects reality, much like 'Truth or dare'.

6) Fantasy Island 

The title of this movie does do justice to its plot, this is a supernatural movie with many mysteries

            A few lucky winners were given an invitation to a private island, what seemed like a summer vacation is quickly reveled to be a caged there is no where to run too.

7) A quiet place

           The world has gone silent, this isn't an exaggeration, the appearance of creature that are attracted to sound make living on earth very difficult.  With the appearance of these creatures that hunt by sound the population of humans in  world is reduced to the point where it's rare to see another living person.

          We follow the family a family of four who tries to live in this world of silence, scared to even make a squeak. This is easily one of the best horror you can ever watch, although it isn't supernatural, it will shut you up at night.

8) The hunt

This story centers around a group a rich community who thinks its ok to hunt people for fun.

          Crystal creasy is abducted and finds herself strapped up( military equipment)with so many other in a field. The elites provided them with guns and other ammunition to make chasing and killing them more fun. Crystal has no intention of dieing with out a fight, from finding out where she is to hunting her hunters. To be honest I'm not certain that crystal is sane, well this movie is certainly worth your time.

9) Escape room

          This story centers around six individuals with no connection what-so-ever, as they only desire to play a fun escape room game but instead are being broadcasted to a group of rich viewers much like "squid game" from my previous posts.

           what is unique about this movie is the back story of each participant in the game, as each room is physiologically linked to their past, they are all forced to remember details about their past in order for them to survive.

10) Get out 

           This movie gave me chills, I got goosebumps not because of the plot but because of the acting. The plot is a bit average if I'm being honest. The characters response to certain situations just leaves you filled with excitement and expectationsThe highest bidder, the most messed up part about this movie is the fact that he met with the bidders and they accessed him on the state of his body. Long story short he realizes the fact that her parents are crazy and asks her(his girlfriend ) for help. Chris is a black American man who one day decides to visit his girlfriend at her home, what should have been a lovely visit is soon revealed to be a big mistake, Caucasian is his girlfriend and her parent are surgeons who specializes in the removal of peoples organs and sells them to.

           If you are looking for excitement, drama, love all mixed up in a series of horrific events this is for you, the most notable part about this is the fact that a black guy played the main character and it was in no way comedy.
